Interacting with food (aka People enjoying dessert)
I admit I’m not the first to volunteer to have my photograph taken while eating food. Although, sometimes it’s important to photograph people while they are eating, especially if you want your food to look appetizing.
Does it make you a little jealous when you see my friend, Taylor devouring a huge slice of the decadent chocolate cake? Yum!
When photography Taylor in with his mouth-watering chocolate cake, there was a nice black backdrop already in place. As far as lighting, there was window light behind him and some continuous light in front of him to try to lighten up the shadows on his face.
Remember this beautiful spice cake that I photographed? It was made by my friend, Aubree.
Aubree sure looks like she’s enjoying her slice of cake! I love this photo of her, she’s so darling.
Aubree was so helpful and willing to have her photograph taken interacting with the food we had photographed earlier in the day.
Remember these fun apples from my food photography post?
She let me photograph her tasting one of the caramel apples. I could go for a caramel apple right now. I’m grateful for friends that are willing to let me photograph them while they’re eating. It sure brings the human element of enjoyment when you get to see them enjoying the beautiful food we photograph.
